The US Postal Service: now just another tentacle of the US surveillance state

Facebook, Twitter, Google, your smartphone — we all know that all our technology is spying on us. In this day and age, it is so ridiculously easy to stalk each other online (for a few dollars a month to subscribe to a stalking website) that if you don’t think the government has all your data, you’re completely delusional.

Snail mail was always supposed to be safer, though. There are obvious ways you can tell if someone has tampered with your mail — isn’t that why we seal envelopes?

But even if your local post office isn’t scanning your checks for questionable payments, the U.S. postal service could be getting up to things that are much more sinister.

If you’re a boring person, you probably have nothing to worry about.

But if you’ve ever been caught up in online controversy, nothing on the Internet ever dies…

Rudy Giuliani’s law license has been suspended in Washington D.C., according to an order filed Wednesday by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

The former New York City mayor had his law license suspended in New York on June 24 for making “knowingly false and misleading factual statements to support his claim that the presidential election was stolen from” former President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court of the State of New York’s Appellate Division ruled.

Those statements “threaten the public interest and warrant interim suspension from the practice of law,” the ruling read.

Here’s how he’s fighting back.
