What are Biden’s outrageous budget plans for the next fiscal year?

President Joe Biden will seek $6 trillion in federal spending for the 2022 fiscal year, rising to $8.2 trillion by 2031, The New York Times reported on Thursday.

Apparently, Biden plans to pay for his agenda through increased taxes on corporations and high earners, and that the budget deficits would start to decrease in the 2030s.

The GOP has rightfully criticized the president for seeking trillions in new spending, setting the stage for pitched battles over his priorities.

“It just seems like the trillions keep on coming,” said Republican Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, who is leading a group of colleagues pursuing a counteroffer to Biden’s current $1.7 trillion infrastructure proposal. More on that below.

What are the details of the GOP counter to Biden’s ridiculous infrastructure bill?

Republican senators have offered their counter to President Joe Biden’s infrastructure proposal in an effort to reach a bipartisan compromise—probably because Pelosi’s Democrat dogs keep threatening to push bills into law by leveraging their majority.

While GOP lawmakers say this $928 billion plan delivers on “core infrastructure investments” that Biden has focused on, there is still some disagreement on dollar amounts and the definition of infrastructure.

Republicans have also rejected Biden’s proposed corporate tax increase to pay for new investments, and instead want to shift unspent COVID-19 relief dollars to help cover the costs.

What are the details, and how does it measure up to Biden’s crazy plan?
