Trump calls on Biden to “resign in disgrace” over Afghanistan disaster
Former President Donald Trump on Sunday called on President Joe Biden to “resign in disgrace” over the rapid collapse of the U.S.-backed Afghan government following the pullout of American troops.
You might be thinking to yourself: Didn’t Trump want to do the exact same thing?
But you’d be only partially correct. It all comes down to how the withdrawal would have taken place — and you can rest assured that Trump, forceful as he is, would have left no question about approaching American-protected cities… especially the city containing our embassy.
Now even the Afghan president has cut and run, just like most of his army. If after 20 years the government can’t even keep itself together long enough for American troops to withdraw, surely this was a lost cause from the beginning — and Biden certainly isn’t helping.
A spokesperson for the Taliban, Suhail Shaheen, said earlier on Sunday that “no one’s life, property and dignity will be harmed and the lives of the citizens of Kabul will not be at risk.”
But we all know that’s a lie, and Biden’s scramble to save who we can shows it.

Leaked Mayorkas audio shows the full breadth of the border crisis
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas warned that the U.S. immigration system “isn’t built” to handle the border crisis, according to a leaked audio recording of his visit last week with border officials.
“If our border is the first line of defense, then we’re gonna lose and this is unsustainable,” Mayorkas said he told Mexican officials during his most recent trip to that country. “We can’t continue like this. Our people in the field can’t continue and our system isn’t built for it.”
