Yet a few officers who were on the scene that day saw fit to kick off the first Jan. 6 hearing with “emotional testimonies” that are actually a load of… well.

NYT “reporter” deletes unhinged tweets (good thing the Internet is forever!)
New York Times reporter Katie Benner deleted tweets calling for Trump supporters to be considered “enemies of the state” after she faced viral backlash from critics.
Of course, nothing on the Internet is ever truly gone, and screenshots are incredibly convenient. Luckily for us, Benner’s true colors are still on display, despite her best efforts to hide them.
Amid the first hearing of the Jan. 6 committee on Capitol Hill, Benner suggested that in order to “combat” national security threats within the country, the solution was to target the voters of the former president… because that’s a normal reaction to people who disagree with you.
