I Want You To Put This Into Perspective
While there are a ton of things out there that truly deserve a deeper investigation, it turns out federal investigators are instead sinking their teeth into this latest batch of “fake news.”
This investigation is into a potential “bribery-for-pardon” scheme focused on presidential pardons.
Otherwise known as another baseless investigation into Trump.
As you can see above the documents are heavily redacted. But while MSNBC wants to make a big deal about it, it does make one thing clear:
“No government official was or is currently a subject or target of the investigation disclosed in this filing,” a Justice Department official said.
Now, here’s what I’d like to put into perspective for you. The way this investigation is breaking, you’d think that President Trump has indiscriminately passed out pardons at a pace we’ve never seen before.
And in one sense, you’d be right – because he’s actually handed out fewer pardons than any other president in modern history.
Obama on the other hand was the one passing them out like campaign buttons. He pardoned and gave clemency more than any president since Truman back in 1945-1953.
Will this insanity ever end?
