Activists instruct parents on how to keep kids safe when police are defunded

Less than two weeks after the death of George Floyd last year, members of the Minneapolis City Council vowed to defund the city’s police department.
The City Council then slashed $8 million from the police budget — only to approve $6.4 million in additional police funding months later amid soaring crime.
In January, council members submitted a new, less radical plan that would keep the police department in place but add a “Department of Public Safety.”
As one might expect, Minneapolis has become a very dangerous place. Why are Chicago natives telling people to put their babies on the floor to sleep?

Texas House Speaker signs arrest warrants for fleeing Dems
Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan signed civil arrest warrants on Tuesday for 52 Democratic representatives who fled the state to block passage of a GOP-backed elections bill.
Phelan signed the warrants after House members present in the capital voted 80-12 to allow law enforcement officers to track down absent lawmakers. Democrats who may be arrested will not face criminal charges or fines, and will only be brought to the House chamber for a vote on the elections bill.
Personally, I can’t wait for these idiots to face consequences for their actions.
